About Ahmed Elbeiti

I am a Sudanese creative director and systems designer based in Saudi Arabia. My practice spans identity, communications, digital platforms, motion, photography and creative technology, with a focus on cultural institutions and public-facing projects across Africa, the Middle East, and the UK.

With a background in marketing and strategic communications, I approach identity as a structure that must carry an idea across messages, images, interfaces and public experiences. My earlier experience includes work with Discovery South Africa and Innovation for Policy Foundation before I moved into independent cultural branding and creative direction.

My selected work includes identity and communication systems for The Africa Centre, Sauti za Busara, FuTopia Zanzibar, Darwin Street Art Festival and Saudi Art Map.

In my writing, I examine the decisions that let identities adapt and stay coherent, and the room they need to leave for judgement.

I founded Exposed Wiring, a platform for making creative systems visible and usable, and The Creative Elementary, a visual research practice examining the mechanics of creativity. My wider independent work includes photography, motion, creative coding and the evolving world of SYB.ZERO.
